Plan Your Visit
We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-wracking! We want to help make your first experience at Oakridge Community Church a great one!
When & Where?
Oakridge Community Church meets every weekend on Sundays at our building located at:
766 Oakridge Road
Saint Joseph, MI 49085
This is right off of Niles Ave. between Lincoln and I94, just down from Riverview Park on the opposite side of the road.
Sunday Morning Worship: 9:30am
Sunday School: 11:00am
What can I expect on a Sunday morning?
Come on in, we'll hold the door open for you with a smile! We will shake your hand as you step in out of the cold, and direct you to the coat rack. Then, we'll invite you to have a complimentary cup of coffee while you check in your children and find a seat.
At around 9:30 am, Song Leader Rick and the worship team will make their way to the stage and kick off the service with a song. This is followed by an announcement video showcasing this week's events, and Pastor Scott will come up and welcome everyone. We usually do a short meet and greet time, then we'll head back to our seats for some music with Rick and the team. You can sing along too, as we will have the lyrics available on a screen.
After music, the kids are dismissed to their classrooms, and Pastor Scott will get up to dive into the Word of God. We end the service with the opportunity to give donations (no pressure for guests), a closing song, and a quick prayer. The whole service lasts about an hour and a half.
You're also invited to join us for Between Time, during which we'll fellowship, enjoy snacks, and drink more coffee (because who doesn't love coffee?!). We also have Sunday School for all ages, and you're invited to that as well.
Concerned about what to wear? No need to feel pressure. Our members show up in shorts and dressy t-shirts, khakis, jeans, and button-downs. Ladies, wear jeans or a dress. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed.
What about my kids?
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week - and at Oakridge Community Church, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children's safety. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our Oakridge Children's Program the first time that you visit. You'll want to leave yourself an extra few minutes to get signed in for the Oakridge Kids experience. Children's activities is offered at every Sunday morning service for kids ages infant through 12th grade.
