Facilities
We, as the facilities team at Oakridge Community Church, serve to keep the physical property and assets in tip top shape through preventive maintenance and capital improvements. Each member of this team has a special gift of service and uses their gifts to bless the church. We take care of the small things like light bulbs and painting to bigger things like roofing and parking lots. Oakridge is full of folks with experience in many avenues of expertise, so we are able to tackle many projects internally.
Bus Ministry
Recently, our church was blessed with a 15-passenger bus that fulfilled a great need to many of our ministries here at Oakridge. Our bus ministry allows us to bring in more kids for Kid's Quest, youth group outings, and Sunday morning church. It offers a great opportunity to further disciple our youth with present adults to answer any questions they might have.
If you volunteer to be a driver or rider you will hear the kids praising God through singing and creating songs of their own. Additionally, we have dedicated drivers to pick up our senior members of the church for their events. This last Christmas season, we were able to offer a Christmas light tour. Going forward we plan to have many more outreach events that utilize the bus, but this will require volunteers for the coming year and beyond.
We are so thankful for this major blessing that God has given to Oakridge.
Decorating
The Decorating Team changes the church décor seasonally. We decorate more for special holidays such as Christmas and Easter. This means more take-down time as well! We are also available to help decorate for Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Graduation Parities, and Birthdays for church attendees. Coordinating with the Care Team we decorate for Funerals as well.
